From „Hotel Waldhaus Föckinghausen“ you walk along A7 to the train station in Bestwig. There, you take the „Sauerland-Express“ (RE 17), hourly from 9.06 hours, or the „Dortmund-Sauerland-Express“ (RE 57), hourly from 9.36 hours, to Meschede, train station.
In Meschede you take the bus to Warstein (Line R 76, hourly from 8.49 hours), getting off at the market square. Here, you take trail X10, direction of „Piusberg“, to „Enker Bruch“, passing the Friederich-Rüther oak, until you reach the „Plackweg“, X1.
The path proceeds through the mixed forests up to the path on the rigde of the „Arnsberger Wald“ (Arnsberg Forest), the „ Plackweg“.
Here you turn right and walk to the „Gemeinheitskopf“ (opportunity for a short break). Continue to your left side and follow X14, which will take you back to „Hotel Waldhaus“.
